Invest in bamboo, the raw material of the future

Support and share in the profit

To establish bamboo fields, a large one-off investment is needed. Once planted, stable revenues can be expected after a few years for the next 80 to 120 years.
In order to expand, we offer several participatory investment options.

Bamboo concession

You can commit to a long-term concession with us for part of our bamboo fields in southern Portugal. When we make money, you make money. You receive the revenues. BambooLogic manages and maintains your concession and offers a buy-back contract that ensures your revenue. You also have the option to enjoy the option of a CO2 compensation of your concession. Read more about compensation through bamboo.

Loan linked to revenue
As a company, we have short and long-term financing needs. If you believe in bamboo, and wish to support BambooLogic as a company in its growth and share in the profits, our yield-dependent loan is an interesting alternative.

Revenues from bamboo cultivation are expected after 6 years.
Faith in the plant and in the world-renowned bamboo experts involved, and a little patience, is the kind of investment that is required.

In contrast, once revenues are generated, things can move very quickly, realistically with double-digit profits.

BambooLogic Alcoutim site – Phase 1

BambooLogic has selected the Alcoutim region for the following reasons:

  • Availability of land;
  • Suitable soil type; proven bamboo growth with good results;
  • Enthusiasm and support from local governments, organisations, and local residents;
  • Availability of water;
  • Availability of knowledge, educated people, and affiliated sectors;
  • Interesting employment conditions and support from the government and employment service.

The first phase comprises 150 hectares of bamboo. A variety of bamboo species will be planted in order to meet customer demands.

Bamboo is the fastest-growing type of grass on the planet. As an ideal alternative for hardwood, bamboo yields 15 times more wood than traditional trees and starts producing wood after 5 to 6 years. The shoots used for the food industry are an important segment of bamboo cultivation.

Thanks to its unique properties, every part of the bamboo plant can be used in one of the many applications. Bamboo absorbs more carbon than trees, is very sustainable, and once planted, bamboo lives for about 100 years.

Growing market

Bamboo is becoming more popular and the bamboo market is expected to grow exponentially in the coming years. Europe is currently the largest export market for Asian bamboo products.

Strong and versatile

Bamboo has more than 10,000 product applications. It has greater tensile strength than steel and is the ideal raw material for extremely strong composite materials, while on the other hand, it is used to produce ultra-soft textiles with antibacterial and anti-odour properties.

CO² Compensation

for individuals

Looking to compensate CO2 emissions? Discover our Bamboo Compensation Program. We have opened up a contribution program. With your contribution we will plant Bamboo on degraded land in Southern Europe.

This programme will give you the opportunity to compensate CO2 via bamboo. After all, bamboo is one of the most successful CO2 absorbing crop. Please fill in the form underneath and we keep you informed about our program.
